Budget Cuts: Records & Tapes is proud to present the debut album from Fly Kin Mountain entitled Antioch Park. The album's sonic landscape is influenced heavily by the sprawling physical landscape of Antioch park in Merriam, Kansas. The park is a 44-acre oasis situated between two fishing lakes.

Fly Kin Mountain is the latest alias of PNW based artist Brandon Knocke, who is the creative force behind Discoverer and Body-San. Knocke’s work as a Body-San has been championed by Noumenal Loom, 100% Silk, and Lo Recordings. Brandon Knocke grew up near the Kansas park and even attended the now non-existent West Antioch Elementary School making this debut deeply personal. Antioch Park is an album that evokes both blissful nostalgia and somber contemplation.

In Knocke’s own words: "The memories attached to these places started to bubble up in my head when I was writing this record. It made me feel nostalgic but also somewhat sad for a place that is now just a vacant lot yet was such a big part of my formative years". The creative process of transforming memory into music is not new to Knocke's process. He told FADER magazine in a 2016 interview that, "I don't set out to make concept albums but there are usually vague stories and a visual language guiding my decisions”.
